It’s called TOTALLY TAUPE!

And you’ll get to see ALL of our new goodies in action over the next few days of November Krafty Peeks and they’ll all be released at our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday, November 10th at 1pm EST in the Krafty Friends group!

For now, hop around and check out some samples from our Krafty Kustomers!!

I was lucky enough to purchase one of Kraftin’ Kimmie Winter Card Kits and got to sample some brand new goodies. I chose to ink some of the new Graphite Gray Krafty Kolours ink through their brand new snowflake stencil and onto some pretty pink patterned papers.

I love this new Polar Pals stamp set and used the adorable bear and penguins stamp on the front of the card. I added a little Bo Bunny Glitter Paste onto the top of the stenciled snowflakes for a little extra glitz and glamour! I even added some of that glitter paste to make it look like the bear and penguins were standing in some glittery snow.

And I always add a little something extra to the inside of my cards and I couldn’t leave the other cute stamp out of the project! I hope you like my pink and gray card – this is my favorite color combo!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to hop on over to the next blog!!

Authentique Cuddle Girly Library Cabinet

So… in late December, I saw a picture of one of the prettiest paper craft projects I’d ever seen. I became so focused on this project I just couldn’t let it go. I reached out to the woman who had shared the picture of her project and asked about a tutorial for it. Janice didn’t use one nor had she made one, but she did answer some questions for me about hers. She was even kind enough to offer to send me some notes and additional pictures of her creation and of course, I jumped at the chance to have her insider info on this little beauty. But those of you who know me, know that I couldn’t wait for snail mail to bring me that info 2 weeks later! Plus I was making this for a friend of mine who’s daughter’s baby shower was just 3 weeks out so there was no time to waste.

Armed with the few pictures I had already seen, I started sketching out what I wanted to make. I knew I wanted to change a few things about the box and its contents to put my own spin on it. I started with the folders I wanted to create to hold photos and other baby goodies and memorabilia that I knew this grandma would want to collect. Because of the tight timeline, I decided to create a few elements (pockets, flaps, etc.) that I could mix and match. Those elements combined with this beautiful Authentique Cuddle paper line and some Stampin’ Up card stock I had on hand, and I was able to create 12 folders that each have a little individuality but came together quickly.

After the folders were completed, it was time to create the box to hold it all. I always like to make my boxes larger than necessary because we always need more storage space right?! Especially when it comes to photos, etc. Β And I hate it when my albums bulge, so I try to remember that when making the container for the album!

There were some boo boos and some ideas that came to me after the fact, but overall I am very pleased with how my little cabinet turned out! I call it a “Library Cabinet” because it really reminds me of those antique cabinets and displays cases you used to see. This one is all girly as this is my friend’s first granddaughter and Teresa is all girl herself! This little beauty was really hard to let go so I’m pretty sure I’ll be making another one for myself to keep πŸ™‚

P.S. – I didn’t forget the new mom either – the album is for her! It’s made of pages to look like file folders.
